Selected Epsilon Omicron Lambda Chapter Man of the Year on February 15, 1998. Selected man of year in March of the same year as State Man of the Year by the Virginia Chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Served as Grand Marshall in 2006 for the Town of South Hill, Virginia Christmas Parade. Board Memberships: Serve on the Board of Directors for the Mecklenburg Business Education Partnership and a member of the Youth Council for the South Central Workforce Development. First Citizens Bank Advisory Board and several other boards.
