📢 Important Update for Virginia Families
The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) has launched the Virginia Emergency Nutrition Assistance (VENA) program to ensure continued food assistance during the federal shutdown.

✅ Uses the same EBT cards as SNAP
✅ Provides weekly benefits (¼ of the monthly amount each week)
✅ Funded entirely by Virginia’s state budget surplus

Households do not need to reapply. Benefits will automatically be added to existing EBT cards according to the new VENA schedule.

Families with questions can visit dss.virginia.gov
or contact their local Department of Social Services office for more information.

🛒 Please share this information to help support families across our community.
