South Hill, VA – July 13, 2025 — The Mecklenburg County Business Education Partnership (MCBEP) will host its annual New Teacher Welcome Banquet on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 5:00 PM at 313 Franklin Street, South Hill, VA. The event honors and celebrates educators newly hired to Mecklenburg County Public Schools.
Local businesses, civic organizations, and community leaders are invited to participate by sponsoring teachers, attending the banquet, or contributing items for welcome gift bags.

$60 covers dinner for one new teacher and a guest. Additional teachers may be sponsored at $30 each.Contribute to Gift Bags
Donated school supplies and helpful classroom items can be dropped off at any Benchmark Community Bank branch in Chase City, Clarksville, or South Hill by July 14.
The event fosters community connection, showcases local support for public education, and helps new teachers feel welcomed and valued as they begin their work with MCPS students.
