2025 Phoenix Middle School and High School Cross Country Teams!
This season we have a combined 42 members of our team ranging from 6th grade to 12th grade! They have been working hard since the summer to get in shape and be ready to show off their speed! On Thursday, August 28, they were able to do just that in the first meet of the season; the Bengal Clash at the River hosted by Bassett High School at Smith River Sports Complex. Here are our results:
Middle School Girls finished 5th Overall with only 112 points! Scoring for the MS Girls were:
Ava Dalton (4 pts.), Bristol Jenkins (11 pts.), Lena Manning (27 pts.), Aubrey Chumney (30 pts.), and Harmony Cox (40 pts.)
Middle School Boys finished 10th Overall with 216 points. Scoring for the MS Boys were:
Clinton Adams (29 pts.), Ben Moss (38 pts.) Eric Peregoy (43 pts.), Scott Lewis (50 pts), and Conner Harrison-Lightfoot (56 pts.)
HS Girls finished 3rd Overall with only 94 points. Scoring for the HS Girls were: Lilly Beatty (3 pts.), Natalie Adams (5 pts.), Abby Mox (8 pts.), Helen Peters (37 pts.) and Olivia Griffin (41 pts.)
HS Boys finished 11th Overall out of 23 teams with 305 points. Scoring for the HS Boys were:
Christian Lecher (5 pts.), Holden Wells (12 pts.), Russell Sager (93 pts.), Reid Blackwell (96 pts.), and Evan Hoffer (99 pts.)
We also had 20 out of our 39 runners earn a PR (Personal Record), Brooklynn Jackson also came in 5th in the JV Girls race, and best of all I had two separate families come up and compliment our team on their helpfulness and school spirit!
