Tomorrow our students will be taking their VA Studies and Science SOLs. No guests are allowed in the building while the test is in session.
This morning, a middle/high school bus traveling on Route 58 near the Complex area was involved in a minor accident. Emergency responders arrived promptly and evaluated the situation.
We are thankful to report that all students are safe and no injuries were reported. The bus sustained only slight damage, and students were transported safely to school.
We appreciate the quick response of EMS and staff for helping ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

Friday Night Lights on the Fairway Team Registration
Registration is now open for the “Friday Night Lights on the Fairway” Golf Tournament supporting Mecklenburg County High School Football. The tournament will feature a 4-player scramble, tons of giveaways, and lunch catered by Hutch Smoking Grill BBQ & Catering. Gather your team and join us on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Kinderton Country Club in Clarksville, VA for a great day supporting Phoenix Football.
Friday Night Lights on the Fairway Sponsorship Opportunities
Support Mecklenburg County High School Football by becoming a sponsor for the “Friday Night Lights on the Fairway” Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Kinderton Country Club in Clarksville, VA. Sponsorship opportunities include Gold, Silver, and Hole Sponsor levels, with benefits such as business recognition, signage placement, social media promotion, and community visibility while supporting Phoenix Football. Door prize and giveaway donations are also being accepted.
Tomorrow CCES will start our state testing. Parents if your child is in a testing grade please make all efforts to get your child to school on time . While the test is in session, visitors will not allowed in the building.

Due to the potential for hazardous weather conditions tomorrow, March 16th, Schools will be closed for students.
All employees should report at 8:00 am and will be released at 12:00 pm, except maintenance staff who will receive direction from the Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Dalton.
PreK, Kindergarten and 5th Grade students only: Cap and Gown picture day will be held Thursday, March 26th. Please ensure your child is at school on time, as we will begin taking pictures first thing in the morning.
REMINDER: MCPS will be closed Friday, March 13th for students.
